Based on the Swiss Open Access Strategy the Consortium of Swiss Academic Libraries has concluded numerous Open Access agreements in recent years. These include the so-called Big Deals with the three largest publishers, Elsevier, Springer Nature, and Wiley, negotiated on behalf of swissuniversities, with the Consortium providing organizational and subject-specific support. The negotiations are based on the objectives of the mandate adopted by swissuniversities.
The Consortium also conducts its own negotiations to implement the objectives of the Open Access Strategy for other scientific publishers. These negotiations are also based on the negotiation mandate.
