Support of international Open Access infrastructures
The project SwissCOSS established a national consortium for Open Access Infrastructure by participating in the global Sustainability Coalition for Open Science Services (SCOSS). The subject specialist for Open Access at the consortium of Swiss academic libraries coordinated the project.
DOAJ and Sherpa/RoMEO
The project SwissCOSS supports Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) und SHERPA/RoMEO (SH/Ro). Both services were vetted by SCOSS and have established a business plan with development goals for the next years. With regard to Open Access, DOAJ and SH/Ro have evolved into indispensable services for researchers, libraries and research funders.
Establishing the support of Open Access infrastructures as products at the consortium
Since 2021, members and customers of the consortium support further Open Access infrastructures from the second funding call of SCOSS. An overview of all the currently supported service providers can be found in our product database.
